LTL Freight Shipments
What is LTL Freight Shipping?
LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) Freight Shipping is used for larger or heavier products that cannot ship through standard parcel carriers. These orders are shipped on pallets and typically arrive via semi-truck with a 53' trailer.
What does Curbside Delivery include?
Most LTL orders include free curbside delivery. This means the driver will unload the pallet at the end of your driveway or nearest accessible area. This service does not include bringing items into your home, garage, or backyard. You are responsible for moving, unpacking, inspecting, assembling, and disposing of the packaging.
Are there upgraded freight delivery options?
- Threshold Shipping: Delivered to your front entrance, garage, or first dry area. Does not include backyard delivery or installation. Fee: $200 per brand.
- White Glove Shipping: Includes backyard delivery (if accessible), unpacking, light assembly (up to 15 minutes), and packaging removal. Does not include gas/electrical hookup. Fee: $250 per brand.
When will my LTL order ship?
All LTL curbside orders ship within 2–10 business days after you receive your tracking or PRO number.
How do I prepare for LTL delivery?
- Ensure there is reasonable access for a semi-truck to reach your curb or driveway.
- The freight company will call you to schedule a delivery appointment. An adult must be present to inspect and sign for the shipment.
- If your street is inaccessible (e.g., dirt roads, narrow streets, cul-de-sacs), you may need to meet the driver at a designated location.
What if I miss my scheduled delivery?
If you miss your delivery appointment or need to reschedule, you may be responsible for additional delivery fees from the freight company.
What should I do when the delivery arrives?
Inspect your shipment before signing the Proof of Delivery (POD). If you notice any damage to the packaging or product, note it on the POD and contact us immediately at (800) 256-8650. Keep all packaging materials (pallet, crate, wrapping) until further notice. If you sign without noting damage, you may become responsible for any issues discovered after delivery.
