It sports an opposed louver, lanced port burner that will produce a concentrated and efficient fire. 20" models offer up to 30,000 BTUs of heat while 24" and 30" models offer up to 40,000 BTUs of heat. ANSI Certified for safety, the Alterna comes equipped with a safety control and an oxygen depletion sensor pilot that will monitor the oxygen levels in the room. If fresh air is unavailable and it detects low levels of oxygen, the thermocouple will shut down the flow of gas from the valve to the burner. Although a manual control valve comes standard on the Alterna, optional remote control upgrades are also available.
