The deckmount plate is intended to be bolted into a solid surface whilst the ground insert base is designed to be inserted into concrete for permanent installation. If you're looking for an option that offers more moveability, consider upgrading to a freestanding offset base so you can enjoy the choice of moving the umbrella to wherever you need it. The freestanding offset based is intended to be used with 24x24" square concrete pavers (sold separately). Protect your investment and keep it looking new with a weather cover (sold separately) when it is not in use.
