This model includes a 24 VAC spark ignition system which includes flame monitoring through flame purification. Since the S25 is unvented, it requires a continuous flow of fresh air and appropriate ventilation of combustion gases for correct operation. This model should not be used indoors or in any area where airflow is limited.
Sunpak heaters are convenient in the fact that they use a fully automatic On/Off control system, with a switch or timer (switch or timer not included.) which is required for safety precautions. The S25 even features a lower radiant heat output which allows for the heater to be installation compatible in patios with a lower ceiling height.
