2007
The Start of the .COM Boom
In the early years of Starfire Direct, our founder, Jonathan Burlingham, embarked on his entrepreneurial journey by selling fire glass for fireplaces. What started as a side business quickly gained momentum, with Jonathan personally delivering and setting up the fire glass for his customers.
This hands-on approach laid the foundation for what would become one of the leading online retailers in the outdoor living industry.
2009
Setting the Standard
In a remarkable display of dedication to customer service, Jonathan Burlingham and General Manager, Lindsey Conklin, embarked on a cross-country journey to personally deliver a custom fire pit to a resort in need. They traveled through challenging conditions to ensure the fire pit arrived on time, demonstrating the company’s unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction.
This exceptional effort set the standard moving forward for why Starfire Direct's customer service remains unparalleled in the industry.
2007
Growing the Team
After being showcased on multiple TV networks and working with some of the world's top designers, their popularity only grew.
Due to their massive influx in the online retail space, Jonathan and Lindsey started looking for candidates to help their clients and customers. This team laid the foundation for Starfire Direct's success in the online retail space. With a solid team, their collaborative efforts and dedication have driven the company’s growth, setting the stage for an even brighter future.
2016
More Warehouse Space Needed
Starfire Direct's new headquarters was a modern facility that serves as the central hub for our operations. This location not only housed our administrative offices but also includes a spacious showroom where customers can explore our extensive range of products.
The move to this new facility marks a significant milestone in our journey, reflecting our continued growth and commitment to enhancing customer experience.
2020
The Reset Year
2020 marked what we consider the "reset year" as we emerge from the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Despite shifts in the market, Starfire Direct remained steadfast in our commitment to providing high-quality products and content to our customers. Despite challanges, we continued to develop and improve our processes, ensuring that our quality and services only got better year after year.
2022
A New Horizon
Starfire Direct joined the Blackford Capital group of outdoor patio companies determined to change the patio space forever. Starfire Direct was a major part of a multi-phase plan to bring several named brand leaders in this space and create a business that would deliver hyper-growth through significant synergies.
This new company group was called Outova.
Located in Southern California in beautiful Temecula, the place we call home, we have a dedicated team of hearth and patio professionals that are all working together to help reinvent outdoor living.
