But unlike the traditional wood-fueled bonfire, you won't have to worry about any unpleasant smoke burning your eyes or ash flying around in the air. With the burner producing a heat output of up to 50,000 BTUs, you can relish a cozy ambiance throughout the chilly nights. The weep holes on the pan help drain water while the burner's central hub is purposefully raised to prevent liquid elements from entering the gas line. Hide the burner and pan out of sight and make the flames stand out even more with the shimmering gleam of fire glass or with the porous texture of natural lava rock (sold separately).
The Tempe can be customized with your choice of match lit ignition system that comes standard or with the electronic ignition system upgrade. What is the difference? A match lit ignition system contains just a few simple parts,a gas valve and key! To turn on your fire pit, it just requires hovering a long-stem lighter over the burner and slowly opening the gas valve. If you need to change the flame settings, this ignition system has you covered,no matter what the occasion. Maximize the fire by turning the valve counterclockwise with the included key or lower the intensity of the fire by turning the valve clockwise. Because a match lit ignition system contains fewer parts, it requires the least amount of maintenance. However, if you want the ultimate poolside experience then consider upgrading to an electronic ignition system! Enjoy a reliable startup with the hot surface ignitor. This system even has an internal temperature monitoring feature for added peace of mind. Should it detect the flame has been lost, the system will automatically shut off the gas flow. It even offers the convenience of being operated via remote control, wall switch, timer, or whole house system (sold separately).
