To pick the right timer duration for your space, consider what your activities will be. If you plan on hosting many day-long BBQs, or want your fire feature to run for most of the night, a higher number for your timer will be best. If, however, you're looking to install a timer as a safety measure for the occasional grilling, a lower number should be just fine.
