Combine the cozy aspects of fire with the natural elements of these Rasmussen Vented FireStones Assortment Pack for a stylish fireside experience. The smooth design of this must-have accessory offers a contemporary appeal that makes it a wonderful alternative for gas logs when you wish to conceal your vented gas burner out of sight.
These FireStones are made of a durable ceramic-bonded refractory material that is capable of withstanding high heat. Compared to their real river rock counterparts, these ceramic stones will not crack, pop, or explode even when exposed to the fire. Each individual piece undergoes a proprietary and environmentally-friendly ceramic staining process that ensures the product remains colorfast throughout the seasons. Due to their color staining process, color appearance may vary from piece to piece--but will create a unique aged look over time. The FireStones Assortment pack can be purchased on their own, but can also be purchased to go along with the standard Rasmussen Vented FireStones Set (sold separately) for a fuller look.

Soot marks--a natural result of when flames come into contact with their surroundings--are especially noticeable on lighter colored fireplace or fire pit products, such as white or light gray. To hide or conceal soot marks, darker colored options may prove a better solution for you. Please ensure you review our returns policy before purchasing.
Unsure of how many packs you need? To start, you will need to measure the burner area. As an example, we'll say we're purchasing a 24" Rasmussen Vented Indoor Custom Pan Burner, which we learn measures 24" L x 12" W.
Next, we calculate the area in inches by multiplying those dimensions. In this example, 24" x 12", which gives us 288 sq. in. And since these packs are measured in sq. ft., we'll do one more calculation: divide the total sq. in. by 144" (the equivalent of 1 sq. ft.). So, 288 divided by 144 gives us 2 sq. ft.
24" x 12" = 288 Sq. In.
288 Sq. In. / 144" (1 Sq. Ft.) = 2 Sq. Ft.
So, for a single layer to cover our burner, we need 2 square inches of coverage. Now, if we decide to purchase the Medium pack, which covers 0.5 square feet, we will need 4 packs based on the chart below.
Pack Style | Coverage |
Extra Small | 1.0 sq. ft. |
Small | 0.5 sq. ft. |
Medium | 0.5 sq. ft. |
Large | 0.75 sq. ft. |
Extra Large | 1.25 sq. ft. |
For an even fuller burner, you can double or triple your coverage. In our example, for two layers of stones we would increase our purchase from 4 packs to 8 packs. Similarly, you can mix and match styles, so long as together they add up to your minimum required sq. ft.
