This burner system sports a steel chassis that is painted with a sleek, black finish that is certain to make the flames stand out throughout the evenings.

Relax and unwind while the Alterna's louver, lanced port burner produces an enticing fiery focal point with a supplemental heat output of up to 30,000 BTUs (20" model) or up to 40,000 BTUs (24" and 30" models). Designed for use in see-thru fireplaces, the double sided front view will ensure that guests can watch and relish the flames even from a different room. Locator holes purposefully cut into the burner offer the perfect fit for setting Rasmussen Vent-Free FireBalls (sold separately) securely in place and creating a fuller appearance. ANSI Certified for safety, this vent-free burner system comes equipped with a built-in oxygen depletion sensor and safety control valve that will continuously monitor the room's oxygen levels. Should the sensor's calibrated pilot detect less than ideal oxygen levels in the air, the thermocouple will shut down the valve's flow of gas to the burner. The Alterna comes standard with a manual control valve, however, optional remote control upgrades are also available to suit your needs. But regardless of how you choose to customize your fireplace, the Alterna won't disappoint.
