This unit includes a 110-volt AC adapter, so you will never have to deal with batteries. Because the EPK-1M-AD is a non-standing pilot, your flame will only be lit when your fireplace is in use. Control the basic ON/OFF function of your fireplace with an easy flip of a Real Fyre Wall Switch (Sold Separately).
