About This Item

Bring natural texture and rustic charm to your fire feature with the Lite Stone Cobble – 12 Stone Set by American Fire Products—a hand-crafted ceramic fire media that blends old-world aesthetics with modern performance. Perfect for topping lava rock or other base materials, this lightweight cobble set adds depth and dimension to gas fire pits and fireplaces.

Each stone is uniquely shaped and hand-finished to mimic the look of weathered river rock, offering a natural, organic aesthetic without the weight or fragility of real stone. The 12-piece set covers approximately 17" x 8" x 6" of surface area and is designed to sit above your primary burner media, creating a layered, realistic display that’s both functional and visually compelling.

Compatible with natural gas and propane fire features, these ceramic cobbles are built to withstand high temperatures without cracking, fading, or producing smoke. Their neutral tones complement a variety of design styles—from rustic lodge to modern minimalism—while allowing the flame to shine through effortlessly.

Durable, soot-free, and easy to arrange, the Lite Stone Cobble set requires no tools or adhesives for installation. Use them alone for a clean, natural look or combine them with lava rock or fire glass for added contrast and custom flair. They’re also reusable and require minimal maintenance—just set, enjoy, and refresh as needed.

Whether you're designing a cozy backyard retreat or a sleek commercial patio, this decorative stone set adds the finishing touch. It’s more than fire media—it’s a designer element that brings warmth, authenticity, and character to every flame.

Fire Pit Media Popping: Please be aware that fire pit media such as fire glass, lava rock, ceramic stones, and similar materials may pop or jump during use. This can occur when moisture is present either within the media or in surrounding air pockets. When heated, trapped moisture rapidly turns to steam, causing sudden pressure that may result in the media cracking, shifting, or projecting small fragments.

    To Reduce Risk:

    • Always use dry media.
    • Store media in a moisture-free environment.
    • Light fires gradually to allow for safe heating.
    • Use caution and maintain a safe distance during initial ignition and operation.

Soot Build Up: Gas burners—whether fueled by Natural Gas or Propane—may naturally produce some soot or black residue over time. This is a normal byproduct of combustion. Natural Gas typically burns cleaner, while Propane, being a heavier gas, may produce more visible soot. However, excessive or rapid soot buildup may indicate issues such as improper burner installation, incorrect gas-to-air ratios, or obstructed or poorly placed fire media.

    To Minimize Soot Accumulation:

    • Ensure professional installation.
    • Follow manufacturer guidelines for media placement.
    • Periodically inspect and clean burner components
    • Always operate gas burners in well-ventilated areas and monitor for signs of abnormal performance.
