Turning the valve control knob counterclockwise provides more flames while turning the knob in the opposite direction lessens the fire's intensity. Should this flame monitoring system detect the flames have gone out, it will automatically shut off all gas flow-which adds an extra level of safety. Since this ignition system is battery-operated, it makes an ideal choice for installs with no power.
