Based in beautiful Portland, Oregon, Stahl Firepit is a company that was built out of a need that founder Chad Hughes encountered when he remodeled his home's backyard. Hughes was looking for a fire pit that would complete the contemporary design that he and his wife had established for their outdoor living space. They wanted a fire pit with a relatively small footprint, that also offered portability.

Many of the designs they ran into while doing research were simply not fitting the bill. In 2002 this led to Hughes taking to the drawing board, and coming up with a design that was exactly what he had envisioned. He created a wooden model of this fire pit of his dreams, and took it to a skilled Portland steel fabricator.

This humble start based on simply looking to improve what is offered on the market today, has led to a business that is as much artisan and it is innovation.

The Stahl Firepit products are offered in several size options, so that you can get just the right size for your needs. Each option is made using hand-selected A36 hot rolled steel, and has a simple 5 piece construction. There are no screws, or complicated pieces that could fail over the course of using your beautiful fire feature.
