This umbrella boasts a solid resin hub, fiberglass ribs, and it uses a manual lift system. The solid resin hub is built bigger to provide the most durability against shattering or being damaged in the event that the umbrella hits the ground. The ribs extending from the hub are made with a fiberglass material for more flexibility so that the smaller pieces will not be too fragile to use if there is a lot of wind. There is also a "quick release" rib that has two spring loaded buttons to make the rib attach to the hub.
