The extremely useful Bromic Heat Deflector for Platinum 300 Gas Heater is an elegantly curved metal plate that can be attached to the top of the heater. The purpose of this guard is to protect the burners from rain and help refocus escaping heat back to the target. By absorbing heat that would otherwise escape vertically, Bromic's gas heat deflectors significantly reduce the clearance needed between the top of a heater and the surface above. The stainless steel design is unique in its dual layer construction, which uses the top layer for reinforcement while reducing radiation of heat absorbed by the bottom layer.
