An Aspen umbrella uses a patented design of laterally articulating ribs--the part that moves the canopy up and down-- to reduce the closing height in half. This makes the pully system--not a crank--easy to access and simple to open. With easy access to the pull opening mechanism--you no longer need to awkwardly avoid the umbrella when opening the canvas. Crafted with Sunbrella fabrics, the Aspen 13' umbrella is fade, water, and mold resistant, easy to clean, and will keep its color bright even with long term exposure to the sun. "Why is that"? The reason Sunbrella fabrics are fade resistant is due to the dying process--each string of fabric is colored all the way through with a solution dyed acrylic. This prevents the material from fading quickly and losing its original color. Structural grade aluminum and marine grade hardware mean this canopy can withstand even the most extreme elements. Now you can enjoy the Aspen umbrella year-round with expansive shade in a striking compact design.
